First up, we chat about the height, width and fade you're after. We tailor the shape to your head and hair type before we start.
The Sides
We fade or taper the sides and back with clippers and foils, keeping the blend clean up into the top. This sets the frame for the hawk.
The Top
We shape the strip with scissors, taking out weight so it can lift. We cut it to peak through the middle and blend into the sides.
The Finish

What's the difference between a faux hawk and a mohawk?
A mohawk has fully shaved sides. A faux hawk, or fohawk, fades or tapers the sides so they blend into the longer hair on top. That makes it far easier to wear every day.
How often should I get my faux hawk haircut redone?
To keep the faded sides sharp, most regulars rebook every 3 to 4 weeks. The top can usually go a little longer before it loses its shape.
What styling product do I need?
It depends on your hair type. Usually a medium-to-strong hold clay, paste or pomade gives you the lift and texture a faux hawk needs. We’ll recommend the right one while you’re in the chair.
Can you do a faux hawk on my hair?
