How much does a slick back haircut cost?
It depends on how we build it. With faded sides, book our Fade, which starts from $60 and takes 40 to 45 minutes. If you’ve got longer hair needing scissor work all over, book our Scissor Cut, from $60 for 50 minutes.
How long does my hair need to be for a slick back haircut?
You’ll usually want at least 10 cm on top, a little more at the front, so it can reach back and lie flat. Any shorter and it tends to stick up rather than sit back. If you’re growing it out, we can shape it along the way.
What products do you recommend for a slick back?
For a classic, high-shine look, a water-based pomade or gel works well. For a more natural finish with strong hold, try a clay or paste. We’ll show you how much to use and how to apply it during your appointment.
Does it work with thick or wavy hair?
It works best with straight or slightly wavy hair, but our team can adapt it for thicker and curlier textures. Thick hair often just needs more weight taken out so it lies flat. We’ll be honest in the consult about what will work for you.
How often should I get it cut to keep the look?
With a skin fade, book in every 2 to 3 weeks to keep the sides sharp. With a taper or scissor cut, every 3 to 5 weeks is usually enough. Regular trims keep the top in shape so it keeps sitting back.

Yes, we’re appointment-only. Booking online locks in a spot just for you, so we can give you our full attention. Book your time. We’ll do our best to keep you on schedule.
