What's the difference between a taper and a fade?
A taper gets gradually shorter but keeps some length near the hairline. A fade usually blends right down to the skin for more contrast. We can talk you through which suits your hair and style during your consult.
How much does a taper haircut for men cost?
Most tapers are booked as our Fade service, from $60, which takes around 40 to 45 mins. If you’d like it done with scissors only, book a Scissor Cut, also from $60. All pricing shows when you book online.
How often should I get a taper to keep it sharp?
We recommend every 3 to 4 weeks. A taper grows out more naturally than a skin fade, but that timeframe keeps your hairline and sides looking tidy.
Can I get a taper if I have long hair on top?
Absolutely. A taper works really well with longer styles like a pompadour or slick back. It keeps the sides neat, so the style on top becomes the main event.
What do low, medium and high tapers mean?
